These nine Scream Factory Blu-rays have attributed discontinuation notices or out-of-print reports. Other releases and remaining retail stock may still be available, so match the label, format and barcode.

On October 7, 2026 we searched GRUV for each of these nine editions and found none for sale new.

The strips show current asking prices on eBay, and asking is not selling. Search results may include other releases; match the named edition before buying.

Rare Blu-ray edition guide · Twilight Time Blu-ray editions

Rockula: 1990 film, Scream Factory Blu-ray

• Bloody Disgusting listed Rockula in the April 25, 2022 going-out-of-print sale.

• The Scream Factory disc was released March 20, 2018, with UPC 826663184792, according to Blu-ray.com.

• It has reversible cover art, interviews with Luca Bercovici and Dean Cameron, and a commentary featuring the director. Those supplements help separate this release from a title-only search hit.

The Dark Half: 1993 film, Scream Factory Blu-ray

• Scream Factory's expiring-rights announcement, reported by Bloody Disgusting on November 4, 2019, included The Dark Half for discontinuation the following year.

• Blu-ray.com dates the Scream Factory Blu-ray to November 18, 2014. This is the single-disc release, rather than a bundle with Monkey Shines.

• Vinegar Syndrome's 4K + Blu-ray is a later publisher's edition, dated June 5, 2025 in Blu-ray.com. Check the Scream Factory name; the box's exclusions may still let other versions through.

Daughters of Satan: 1972 film, Scream Factory Blu-ray

• Daughters of Satan appears in Bloody Disgusting's April 2022 sale report.

• For the April 24, 2018 Scream Factory release, Blu-ray.com lists UPC 826663186338 and one BD-25 disc.

• The catalog shows an inner-print case and region A playback. Ask for the back cover and disc label, especially when a seller uses only the film's name.

Squirm: 1976 film, Scream Factory Collector’s Edition Blu-ray

• Squirm was among the Blu-rays named in the November 2019 rights-expiry notice reproduced by Bloody Disgusting. That report concerned the Scream Factory edition.

• Its October 28, 2014 Collector's Edition uses UPC 826663152807 (Blu-ray.com). The catalog lists reversible artwork and a slipcover in the original pressing; ask whether a used copy still has the sleeve.

• Jeff Lieberman's commentary and the Digging In: The Making of Squirm documentary are included. Compare the supplement list when the listing does not show the Collector's Edition wording.

Ghost Town: 1988 film, Scream Factory Blu-ray

• A forum post by film columnist Andy Dursin, dated October 31, 2019, places Ghost Town under previously announced discontinued Scream Factory titles.

• Blu-ray.com lists the 1988 film's July 28, 2015 Blu-ray with UPC 826663159745. Keep that year in mind: GRUV's search also returns a Ghost Town DVD.

• This edition has reversible cover art and one BD-25 disc, with region A playback. A front cover alone cannot confirm the barcode or the disc format.

From Beyond: 1986 film, Scream Factory Collector’s Edition Blu-ray

• Orbit DVD's used-item page calls its Shout Factory From Beyond Blu-ray out of print.

• The March 26, 2013 Collector's Edition is a Blu-ray plus DVD package, UPC 826663138825, with two commentaries (Blu-ray.com). Check that both discs are included.

• Vinegar Syndrome sells a later 4K UHD/Blu-ray release with its own restoration. Its UHD disc and region A Blu-ray are not the Scream Factory Blu-ray/DVD combo.

Dolls: 1987 film, Scream Factory Collector’s Edition Blu-ray

• Bloody Disgusting's November 4, 2019 report names Dolls among the titles Scream Factory said would go out of print in 2020.

• The November 11, 2014 Collector's Edition has UPC 826663153637 (Blu-ray.com). A slipcover accompanied the original pressing, and the case has reversible art.

• Its Toys of Terror: The Making of Dolls documentary runs about 38 minutes, alongside two commentaries. GRUV's similarly named Uncork'd DVD is a different film and format, so compare the 1987 year too.

Lady in White: 1988 film, Scream Factory Blu-ray

• Lady in White is named in Bloody Disgusting's 2019 report of Scream Factory's planned rights expiry. The notice referred to discontinuation the next year.

• Blu-ray.com lists the September 27, 2016 release as two Blu-ray discs with three cuts, UPC 826663165395. Confirm that a used case contains both discs.

• Vinegar Syndrome's later edition instead contains one 4K UHD and three Blu-rays. That four-disc set is easy to distinguish from Scream Factory's two-disc package; count the discs in the seller's photos.

Scarecrows: 1988 film, Scream Factory Blu-ray

• Wikipedia's home-media history records Scream Factory's October 14, 2019 announcement that its Scarecrows Blu-ray was out of print.

• The June 2, 2015 Blu-ray of the 1988 film carries UPC 826663157840 (Blu-ray.com). The Uncork'd DVD in GRUV's search is not this Scream Factory disc.

• The release includes reversible artwork and two commentaries, one featuring director William Wesley and producer Cami Winikoff. Check the plural Scarecrows title as well as the label.

Use the rare Blu-ray guide's completed-sale and condition checks when comparing offers for one of these editions. Leave DVD offers and bundles out of comparisons for a single Blu-ray edition.

FAQ

Can a going-out-of-print disc still be sold new?

Yes. Remaining stock can outlast a notice, and a later reissue may return.

Is a Vinegar Syndrome edition the same as Scream Factory?

No. The Dark Half, From Beyond and Lady in White have later Vinegar Syndrome packages. Compare the publisher and disc count in their sections before choosing a listing.

Should a Scream Factory copy always have a slipcover?

Check the specific release. Squirm and Dolls had slipcovers in their original pressings, but a used copy may have lost its sleeve. Ask the seller to show what is included.

Why does a title search return DVDs or another film?

Searches can match similar names and other formats. GRUV's Dolls and Scarecrows results include Uncork'd DVDs; the years and barcodes above identify the Scream Factory films.
